Sacred Heart School

Sacred Heart School is a Catholic elementary school serving children in grades Pre-K3 to 8 in northern Mississippi. Accredited by the state of Mississippi, AdvancedEd, and the National Catholic Education Association, our dedicated faculty follows a curriculum based on fundamental academic disciplines. Teachers promote a love for learning and provide the tools necessary for students to realize their full intellectual potential. Computer technology and Spanish language classes for all grades, music, art and physical education, in addition to self-contained classroom instruction enrich the learning experience. Carnegie units for high school are available for children in upper grades.

We offer students opportunities for spiritual growth and faith building in the tradition of the Catholic Church. Prayer begins and ends each day. Our program includes classroom instruction, service learning, prayer and worship. Mass is celebrated for the entire student body weekly. Sacred Heart School was recognized by the NCEA as one of the top three schools in the U.S. for Most Innovative Catholic Identity.

More than 25% of Sacred Heart students qualify for free or reduced lunch in the Federal School Lunch Program. Before and after school care is available for children of working parents. A nourishing snack is provided. Students do homework and participate in enrichment activities and play, supervised by qualified staff.
