Summer Feeding Program Underway at Dehon

SHSM’s Social Service and Housing Corporation is once again participating in the USDA Summer Food Service Program. The program began a few weeks ago and will continue through August 1. Children ages 0 18 years are provided nutritious meals, free of charge, Monday Friday at the Dehon Learning Center in Walls. Children receive lunch and an afternoon snack each day.

This program was established to ensure that low-income children continue to receive nutritionally balanced, high quality meals when school is not in session. Our program is currently serving approximately 22 children a day.
