Housing Corporation Welcomes New Family
Tammy is a single parent of three children. The apartment complex that she and her children called home was not in the best of locations. She was very uneasy when her children wanted to go outside to play.
She currently receives a Section 8 HUD voucher that assists her with her rental payments. On hearing about Sacred Heart Southern Missions Housing Corporation’s Section 8 rental programs from a friend, Tammy immediately called to find out if we had any homes available.
As luck would have it, our facility renovation technician had just completed the repairs and improvements on one of the latest Housing Corp. purchases in Horn Lake. The three-bedroom home with fenced backyard would be just perfect for her and her family.
Tammy and her children moved into their new home in just a few short weeks ago and are thoroughly enjoying it. She has peace of mind knowing that her children have a safe place to play and they all can spread out, instead of living in a cramped apartment. Additionally, Tammy has expressed interest in home ownership and plans to take advantage of Sacred Heart Southern Missions' credit counseling program so that she can pursue the purchase of a home in the future.
